About Chloe

I am a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor member, fully qualified to deliver MHFAEngland training, using evidence-based face-to-face and digital learning.

MHFAEngland courses are designed to empower people to notice signs of mental ill-health and encourage them to break down barriers, listen in a non-judgemental way, and signpost to support recovery.

Passionate about promoting the importance of good mental health and reducing the stigma associated with mental ill-health, I believe that normalizing conversations about mental health, particularly in the workplace, will enable people to feel supported, keeping them in work during difficult periods in their life.

Before starting Inspire Mental Health, I spent 10 years working in an HR department with responsibility for the payroll and have first-hand knowledge of the workday pressures that can impact employee wellbeing. My background in supporting mental health charities originated as a volunteer for the Association for Pastoral Care in Mental Health and later for Samaritans. Whilst at Samaritans, I was a listening volunteer as well as a Deputy training lead.

A Bill to make mental health first aid part of first aid training requirements is making its way through Parliament but like me, I’m sure you are keen to take steps to make employee wellbeing a priority now.
